KEY WEST, Florida - After the series against the Rebels, the JayHawks sent down Tomo Ohka to their AAA affiliate, Kansas Flock, and called up Troy O'Leary. JayHawk manager Craig Hon said, "The reason for Okha being send down was, Tomo just doesn't have the stuff to be a APBA starter yet." Hon hopes that Ohka will be able to get some quality work in the minors for the Flock. Kansas is amazingly enough in first place in the APBA AAA League, despite the fact that the Major League JayHawks are mired in a 6-year slump. Hon is dumb-founded at the fact that the Flock are perennial post-season participants, but when the players are called up to the big league team, their talents seems to stay behind. "It's as if they are saying, We're not in Kansas anymore Toto!!!", said Hon. -- submitted by Craig Hon, 07/24/01
