BURLINGTON,  Vermont - Playoff fever is running high in the Green Mountain State as the Vermont Grizzlies complete a two-game sweep of the Key West JayHawks.  With the wins, the Grizzlies move to just one game behind the division leading Durham Devils.   Vermont won the first game, 8-4, and won the second, 5-4 to improve its second-half record to 19-3.

The Grizzlies end the regular season in Durham against the Devils.  The Budweiser Division championship and a Fall Classic berth is at stake.  The magic number to claim the division is 29.  The first team to win its 29th game is the division champion.  The Devils (28-18) needs to win one of the two games.  The Grizzlies (27-19) must win both.

The series of the season begins at 7:00 PM EDT on Sunday, October 28.  The first game will feature two pitching aces, Kevin Brown for the Grizzlies and Pedro Martinez for the Devils.  Vermont will send first round draft pick Chuck Finley to the mound against Durham's Al Leiter in the second game.

Meanwhile, the Alabama Rebels have already clinched the Miller Division title.   The Rebels have clinched home field advantage against Vermont, and needs to win one of its last four games to take the advantage from Durham.
