MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin - The Vermont Grizzlies took to the road to host
the front running Key West JayHawks. The 'Hawks looked impressive with the League's best
record at 6-0. However, the Grizzlies had something to prove
as the teams met at Milwaukee's Miller Park.
The Grizzlies jumped out first, had timely hitting, and
good pitching to sweep the series. In fact, the Grizzlies fell
behind once, the fourth inning of Game 2. With the sweep,
Vermont takes control of the Miller Division.
Bobby Higginson had two homers. Richie Sexson hit
his third homer. Alfonso Soriano had two pinch hits including
a solo shot. Arthur Rhodes picked up saves 3 and 4. Key
West hit no homers and scored just 5 runs.
