2001 Baseball Cards Shipping; Revamped MG Next

APBA has confirmed that the first phase of shipping for 2001 baseball season cards is under way.  The company began shipping pre-orders last week, and APBA VP Marc Rinaldi confirmed for APBA News today that the company is sticking with its policy of filling pre-orders before selling over-the-counter at their Lancaster office.  Although the first shipment of sets from APBA’s printer was not enough to satisfy all the pre-orders, the next batch of sets should hit the mail this week, according to Rinaldi.

APBA Announces 1923

Rinaldi also confirmed that promotional literature included in the 2001 card set shipments will offer a new historical season from APBA—1923.  “The set will include 16 teams with 25 man rosters, and Master Symbols
will be available as well.  We are beginning to take pre-orders immediately.  The sets will cost $30.00 each and the Master Game Symbols will be $5 each.  You can order your set by calling us at 1-800-334-2722 or visiting our web site at www.apbagames.com and order from our Stadium Shop.”

“Also, beginning in late August, we’ll begin to accept pre-orders for a new APBA Baseball Master Game.  This will be the traditional APBA Master Game, reformatted into an easy to use booklet form similar to the new Basic Game format.  The results and instructions will read the same as before, but the format will be more user friendly.  We will start taking pre-orders beginning in late August!  Please understand that this
product can only be released if we meet a specific pre-order limit.  We urge all Master Game players to order the easier-to-read, easier-to-use Game Boards.”

APBA News will announce the official date that pre-orders will begin for the new Master Game format as soon as we learn it.
